Undo & checkpoints

Before the agent edits or writes a file, Hex saves the file's previous version against that turn.

• At the end of a turn, the files changed summary lists each file. Click one to see its diff.
• Undo changes puts every file from that turn back.
• Hover one of your messages and choose Rewind to undo the agent's changes from that point onward.
• The Changes pane (⇧⌘D) shows everything this chat has changed so far.

Changes made by shell commands are tracked when the folder is a git repository.

Edit, branch and export

• Hover your message and click Edit to change it and run it again.
• Hover a reply and click Branch to start a new chat from that point.
• Type /export to save the chat as Markdown.
