Run and test mobile apps inside Hex.

The Devices pane (⇧⌘Y) shows iOS Simulators and Android emulators in their real device frames.

Requirements

  • iOS: Xcode with at least one simulator runtime installed.
  • Android: Android Studio with the SDK and at least one emulator (AVD).

What you can do

  • Boot and shut down devices, and pick one from the list.
  • Use the live screen: tap, swipe, scroll and type; Home, Back and app switcher.
  • Change appearance (light or dark), open URLs, install and launch apps.
  • Record the screen and read device logs.
  • For Flutter projects, run the app on the device and hot-reload.

With the agent

The agent can use the same device: install and launch your app, tap and type, take screenshots and read the logs. Send to agent attaches the current screen or recent errors to the chat.
