Memory & scheduled tasks

What Hex remembers, and tasks that run later.

Memory

Tell Hex to remember something ("remember that we deploy on Fridays") and it saves a short memory, about you or about the current project. It uses memories in later chats. When it saves one, you can undo it right away.

See and delete memories in Customize → Agent → Memory.

Personal instructions

In Customize → Agent → Behavior, write instructions that apply to every chat, or add ready-made ones like Be concise or Write tests for code you change. Add your name and role in Settings → Account so the agent can pitch answers at your level.

Scheduled tasks

Ask Hex to do something later or on a repeat, for example "every Monday at 9, check for outdated dependencies and summarise them". Scheduled tasks run while Hex is open. Manage them in Customize → Agent → Schedules.
